THE BUDGET-FRIENDLY LIQUID LIPSTICK.
This company, a division of Jon Davler, Inc., was founded in February 2001 in Los Angeles, CA but they were registered back in 1996 with the goal of creating trendy cosmetics. It wasn’t until this year that they really expanded their line to embrace the “liquid lipstick” craze. They offer other cosmetics products such as lashes, brushes and nail products however they are known for their hyped-up liquid lipsticks.
IT WON’T COME OFF UNTIL YOU TAKE IT OFF.
I bought only 3 colors in the Lip Couture formulation. I tried on Ghoulish and OG Ghoulish. They are intense formulation being they are waterproof and I did experience a bit of burning. I don’t think I was having an allergic reaction however I felt the product was shellacked on. At this point, I don’t see myself purchasing any more colors presently. I will update this post if and when I do!
FORMULA: Liquid cream; slight sweet scent that masks a chemical scent.
BRUSH: Soft double-sided, slightly bent applicator. The lipsticks come in a clear plastic box.
FINISH: Matte (bit of shine because of the shellacked finish). Waterproof, does not transfer, budge or move.
WEAR: since it is waterproof, it won’t come off until you take it off. They sell their “Shea Butter Lip Couture Remover” however I did not purchase this as any oil-based makeup remover will do the job and apply lip balm afterwards! Feels a bit tacky.
INGREDIENTS: are not vegan. The remover contains beeswax. There is nothing on their website that indicates that they are cruelty-free either.
CONTROVERSY: There is no actor, celebrity, YouTube sensation, supermodel face, cult of personality or reality tv star attached to the LA Splash brand however there has been controversy with the owner who had been sued for sexual harassment by former employees (employees were forced to undergo ‘vaginal inspections’ ) and ambiguity on their vegan status.
Also the headquarters this year had suffered through a fire that destroyed their offices interestingly.
PRODUCTS: are made in the USA with a net weight of 0.10 oz/3.0mL of product.
COLORS: released are several trending colors with some unique shades in a waterproof finish.
If you have experienced allergies to lip products, I’d hold off buying the entire line.
You can always get at least one to try. They have a return policy however you have to pay for shipping.
I’m a lip bitter throughout the day, which is why I usually wear gloss. With these being authentically water proof, I wonder if it can withstand the constant licking or bitting of the lips?

Licking yes. I don’t know about biting tho. Depends on how much you bite your lips. I find them kinda annoying because they don’t come off…lol. Which is a good thing for some. It’s worth a shot.
