Thanks to Influenster and L’Oreal Paris, I received samples of their new hair care line called Extraordinary Oil. The line claims to eliminate dryness in just 1 wash and that it’s lightweight and non-greasy. I was excited to try these products as I usually use OGX and Dove Dry Oil -that was my fav but it has been getting hard to find. I received the Nourishing Shampoo and Conditoner, Lustrous Oil Serum and Transforming Oil-in-Cream.
The shampoo and conditioner has lightweight oils of Argan, Chamomile, Coconut, Amla, Soja and Sunflower oils and smells great. I tried it over the weekend and wanted to see how long I could go without having my scalp feel greasy since I have very long hair and I don’t wash it daily. I can say by Tuesday evening, I could feel my scalp wasn’t terribly oily and I could feasibly push it until Wednesday and just wear my hair in a bun but tonight I’ll give it a wash just cuz I need a refresher (and this stuff smells really good). So from Saturday through Tuesday my hair was soft and still fragrant! Considering I live in the Chi that’s pretty good! Overall the products don’t make your hair feel heavy or greasy.
One thing to note is that the shampoo doesn’t necessarily lather up as much but it did clean my scalp. I could feel the difference right away and I didn’t need to use much product. I also used a bit of the Transforming Oil-in-Cream on my damp hair before styling. I didn’t use the Lustrous Oil Serum on top of everything as it felt too much but next time when I color my hair, I plan too. The serum btw has extra oils of Rose and Gardenia! The oils in this formula really bring out the colors in my hair as you can see in the picture at the bottom.
This is a phenomenal hair care line that helps those with dry, damaged hair and revitalizes color too. I plan on purchasing more when I run out. Thanks again to L’Oreal Paris for creating these hair care products!
Stay sweet lovelies! ~ Duchess
