There’s 100 of these to choose from. Correct me, 120 including those 20 Sephora exclusives. And yes you can get addicted just like that [snap]. I’ll be talking about the 4 that I picked up which are all Metallized finishes.
I initially thought these were Urban Decay’s version of a M.A.C. Frost but they’re not. They are the Urban Decay Creams with a high level of pearl. So they have shine to them and amazingly they leave lips super soft after wear. It must be thanks to the joboba, olive, avocado, aloe vera and abassu oils as well as shea and illipe butter and Vitamin C and E all rolled into the Pigment Infusion System™ as Urban Decay calls it.
They’re wonderfully pigmented too. Since they are creamy, the lasting power isn’t long and I don’t mind. I like to use up my lipstick since I have so much. Urban Decay also sweetened this whole line up by coming down on their price. They’re just $17. Well below current top liquid lipstick price points and on par with M.A.C. lippies.
The packaging is color coded to the lipstick color. Easy to find the color you need if you store them in boxes. Many of my lipsticks are stored that way except for the ones I frequently use.
The top of the boxes have the names and finishes. Each lipstick tube has a sticker on the bottom which is also color coded with the name and finish. The tube itself is pretty solid and reminiscent of the Revolution lipstick cases but not as heavy and not cheap feeling like the Gwen lippies were. These are pretty nice except for on some tubes, I had a hard time pulling out the lipstick because it was stuck to the bottom. Other than that, it has the Urban Decay imprint which makes for a pretty reflection in some of the shots you’ll see in this post.
Big Bang is a bright pink sparkle lipstick. It goes on smooth. The color pops and is pigmented. Thankfully there is no staining on this. When I initially swatched them I was surprised at how silky they felt. I had gotten the UD Mad Hatter from the Alice collection which is also a metallized but it felt gritty.
Bobby Dazzle is a white iridescent pearl. I just had to get this not only because of the name but I have a YSL white lippie and I just don’t use it. This one seemed less of a museum piece. And it is. It’s basically a sparkly lip gloss in a tube. I love it. I can use whatever lipliner and blend it all in and it becomes a pretty MLBB finish.
Wrath (Sephora Exclusive)
Wrath is a metallic red Sephora Exclusive. I loved it when I tried it on my hand in the store and once I tried it on my lips, it reminded me of KVD’s Adora. It is a warm medium red with hints of orange. Glides on easily with no streaking on any of these colors.
Studded (Sephora Exclusive)
Studded is a metallic gray-brown Sephora Exclusive. This one looks beautiful in the tube and on the hand. It reminded me of Rihanna’s Viva Glam 2 lipstick. Makes for a good copycat if you missed out on the color. This taupe brown is slightly darker and warmer.
Well these were my four picks of the new Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks in the Metallized finish! You can get the Sephora Exclusives online or in-store only. The other two are available at Ulta, Sephora, Urban Decay, Nordstrom, Macy’s and Beauty.com.
Do you have a fav Vice lipstick?
Stay sweet lovelies!
