My very first Estée Lauder purchase was a red lipstick that I wore everyday for my goth look in college. A phase I grew out of thankfully.
I would try some stuff through the years. Nothing really ever stuck as a fave. I did always prefer the French stuff to be honest but only because I’m impartial being my family is part French.
Nevertheless, later on I renewed my interest with the Pleasures Intense and other variations. Now my curiosity was ignited when I set about looking for new face cleansers. I like using K-beauty and Lancôme the most.
I noticed the cleansers by Estée Lauder while internet shopping. I initially ordered the “Nutritious Super-Pomegranate Radiant Energy 2-in-1 Cleansing Foam” — there’s been pomegranates on sale here and they are a mega dose of delicious and Vitamin C— so the formula sounded good. I’ve been suffering a lot with breakouts due to the friction and moisture of mask-wearing. I would hope this foray would help alleviate it.
However a fluke happened with in my order. I was sent another cleanser! It was the Estée Lauder Soft Clean Moisture Rich Foaming Cleanser. I tried it and let me tell you that I immediately noticed my face looking smoother and softer. In addition, I tried the sample of the Revitalizing Supreme + Bright Power Soft Creme.
The cream is ok – no reactions and I love the ingredients. But I do need a more thicker version. I’ll keep exploring their creams until I find the right texture. Lord knows I have a surplus of skin creams. One of the reasons why I prefer the Lancôme and Yves Rocher brands in the colder months.
Overall I’m satisfied with this new cleanser. It’s nicely scented and inexpensive for a high-end cosmetic brand. Amazingly I found it’s available on Amazon. I bought my stuff through the Estée Lauder direct site as I got samples and gift with purchase.
Customer service did fix the problem with my order and eventually I got my original selection. That I’ll try when I finish the pink tube.
Here is a list of other face cleansers that I’ve repurchased and still enjoy using:
- Lancôme Crème Radiance Cream-to-Foam Cleanser (blue)
- Philosophy Daily Exfoliating Microdelivery Face Wash
- Clarins Cottonseed (sadly discontinued)
- Skinfood Rice Brightening Foaming Scrub
- G9SKIN White in Milk Whipping Foam
- IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser
- Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming
- Lancôme Absolue Nurturing & Brightening Oil-in-Gel Cleanser with Grand Rose Extracts
I’ve tried tons of cleansers over the years. Skin needs and product types change with age and decades. I remember using Noxema even tho it didn’t do anything for my skin. The eucalyptus does smell good.
I am always willing to try something new tho. Until the next post…
